A study in layered light and coastal materiality
This project captures a terraced home in Clifton, where the Atlantic light filters through layered glass and stone. The documentation focuses on how the architecture responds to the steep coastal site, with each level opening to the horizon. We worked across three days to record the shifting light from morning to dusk, emphasizing the tactile quality of raw concrete and timber. The final set of images was delivered for an architectural publication and client presentation.

Spatial documentation of a dense urban block
This mixed-use development in Johannesburg presented a complex spatial narrative, with retail, office, and residential programs woven around a central courtyard. Our documentation focused on the interplay between the built mass and the landscaped open spaces, capturing the rhythm of the facade and the human scale of the courtyard. We produced a series of wide-angle and detail shots that highlight the material palette of brick, steel, and glass. The imagery was used for the developer's portfolio and an architecture competition entry.

Capturing a pavilion in the Winelands
Set among the vineyards of Franschhoek, this pavilion is a study in minimal intervention and panoramic framing. Our shoot focused on the relationship between the structure and the dramatic mountain backdrop, using long shadows and warm afternoon light to emphasize the timber and glass construction. We delivered a set of images that convey the pavilion's role as a gathering space for wine tastings and events. The client used the photographs for their website and promotional material.

We plan shoots around the sun's path across your site. Morning, midday, and dusk passes capture how each facade and interior volume changes character through the day.

A standard session covers interior and exterior documentation, with a focus on natural light and material texture. We bring our own lighting for interiors, but we prefer to work with available light where possible. For most projects, we spend between four and eight hours on site, depending on the size of the building and the number of spaces to cover.
Yes. Drone photography is available for exterior and contextual shots, subject to local flight regulations and site permissions. 360-degree virtual walkthroughs are produced for interiors and are a good fit for larger developments or spaces where spatial flow is important. These are usually planned as an add-on to the main shoot.
Every image is individually colour-graded and retouched for publication. You receive a curated set of high-resolution files, along with web-optimised versions for presentations or social media. We also provide a shortlist of selects, so you can see the full range before we finalise the edit.
Absolutely. We regularly collaborate with architects, interior designers, and property developers. We can adapt to your specific requirements, whether that means shooting for a competition entry, an exhibition panel, or a client presentation. We also coordinate with your team on site to ensure the right angles and details are covered.
For a standard residential project, you can expect the final edited set within five to seven working days. Larger commercial or mixed-use documentation may take up to ten working days, depending on the number of images and the complexity of the post-production. We always confirm a clear delivery date before the shoot.
